Dear All

Family Constellation transforms our family stories, bringing our ancestors alive and in to the present.
We see ourselves and our family in a new light, part of a root system going back in time, back to where we come from.

Our family stories inform us about our tribe, which we rarely feel connected to, let alone supported by.
These stories can have a big impact and influence on our life but all too often they are almost entirely negative, laced with the tellers’ own bias, told through the filter of harsh family judgements.
Yet these stories are based on real people and actual events; they are a mine of richness and treasures and we carry their DNA in our very cells.

Unfortunately many of the big stories such as war, genocide or abuse are never told.

They go to the grave with their owners. They are buried in secrecy or falsified by shame and fear or are simply avoided altogether by not wanting to be reminded of the painful truth.
But unfortunately they don’t go away and their absence is felt as an unhelpful presence, mostly by the younger more sensitive members of the family.
They find themselves unconsciously drawn to those lives and unresolved events like moths to the light and may become hopelessly entangled.

Many people come to me because they see this is happening to their children.
They may find themselves repeating the very same events, or living out feelings of guilt or indebtedness that they feel compelled to pay for in some way, making amends for something that they didn’t even do.
Often all that is needed is that these painful events are felt and acknowledged with love without judgement, and then the family system can relax, let go and move on.

In a Family Constellation workshop the other participants represent your family members and even yourself.

They are neutral witnesses in the sense they are outside and not bound by the dynamics and bias of your family system.
They are free to follow and be led by the Constellation’s intention to bring healing and resolution to whatever issue you as the client want addressed.
Constellations are journeys of the heart; their intention is to heal and make whole the flow of love in the family system, so our lives like rivers can be free to find their way to the ocean, to life and ultimately to love.

Over the weekend, as each Constellation resolves, the love in the room is palpable.

We leave the weekend with deep affection and new friends.
We have almost become a new family with supportive roots and tender shared experience to lean into and draw on as we move forward back into the world, a reminder of how fulfilling our lives within a tribe can be.
